“Data Transcode Error” is an audiovisual experiment by Stan Herben. There is something aesthetically pleasing about glitching computers. It shows that just like us humans, computers have imperfections. And it’s far easier to glitch than to be perfect. Thus, malfunctions, or in this case, 'happy accidents', is what makes it beautiful, something unexpected but interesting nonetheless.
